Odbouratelná plastová taška, Jáva v Indonésii
Plastové tašky jsou v jihovýchodní Asii velmi oblíbené. Jsou všude. Kupujete si půl litru vody? Dostanete ji. Kupujete balíček bonbónů? Dostanete ji. Nedostanete ji jen tak, zboží vám rovnou do tašky naskládají. Musíte být hodně rychlý a ostražití, aby jste v čas stihli říct, že ji nechcete.
Setkali jsme se s dvěma aktivitami obchodů, pro snížení ekologické zátěže. V Kuala Lumpur (Malajsie) v jednom luxusním obchodňáku měli v potravinách dny bez plastových tašek. Škoda, že jsme tam v ty dny nebyli, vůbec si neumím představit, jak to mohlo vypadat. Do čeho to balili? Zakázali všechny tašky nebo jenom ty obyčejné tenké? I sáčky? Obchod nabízel obrovské množství čerstvých nebalených věcí, ty do něčeho dát museli.
Další aktivitou jsou odbouratelné plastové tašky, ty jsme našli na ostrově Jáva. S podobným nápadem přišlo loni i Tesco.
Změna u Tesco tašek: rok 2009 – v tiskové zprávě z dubna 2009 Tesco tvrdí „tašky se mají rozložit za 9 – 12 měsíců. Rok 2010 – na tašce je napsáno, že se rozloží za 36 měsíců v příznibých podmínkách (tato informace je např. v Bratislavě jen v angličtině, česky nebo slovensky je napsáno jen že je biologicky rozložitelná), na tašce přibyl datum spotřeby (také jen v angličtině).
Detail tašky, Indonésie: Tato taška je biologicky rozložitelná. Mužete ji znovu použít nebo vyhodit.
Indonéské tašky od společnosti Epi: biologicky odbouratelný plast se rozloží za 24 – 36 měsíců. Podobně jako nové Tesco.

Na tašky se používají nyní dvě technologie [více např. zde]:
- na bázi škrobů: vhodné na sběr kuchyňského odpadu, paropropustné
- oxo-biodegradabilní plast: není paropropustný, tato se využívá právě na nákupní tašky
Co je lepší: nabízet rozložitelné tašky zadarmo nebo nerozložitelné tašky za peníze? Jsem samozřejmě za co nejméně tašek, ale když jediné co na lidi opravdu platí jsou peníze, tak potom nic zadarmo. Ale na druhou stranu, díky hromadnému zavedení rozložitelných tašek se dostane více peněz na jejich vývoj a bude větší šance, že se tato technologie jednodušeji rozšíří. A třeba se naše děti už nebudou učit, že plasty se rozloží za stovky let.
V každém případě čím méně tašek tím lépe, rozložitelných či nerozložitelných. Nejlepší odpad, je žádný odpad.
